Community Service

Christmas Basket Program Committee - Supports annual program to raise funds and provide workers for the Josephine County Christmas Basket program that feeds the needy in our community. May assist with fundraising, filling baskets or distribution.

Community Service Committee - Locates and organizes "hands-on" community service projects as well as opportunities to help fund community projects directed toward youth.
  • Indian Mary Park - Organizes at least quarterly work days involving club members to complete maintenance and clean-up projects identified by park system employees, such as painting and repairing park benches, reseeding lawns, clearing brush, planting trees, etc.
  • Parkway Cleanup - Organizes quarterly work days involving club members to pick up trash along the Grants Pass Parkway from Elmer's to Bi-Mart.
Duck Derby Committee - Arranges for club participation/workers for combined Rotary event involving all four Josephine County clubs.  Includes duck sales events (Growers Market, Josephine County Fair, Concerts in the Park) prior to race day.

Literacy Committee - Identify needs in the community for funding youth literacy projects and promotes said projects.

Service-Above-Self Committee - Works with local high schools to collect nominees for monthly award given (during school year) to deserving high schools who meet award criteria. Gathers awards (cash, certificates, etc.) and makes presentation to recipient.
