Fellowship and Fundraising Committee - Organizes events for fellowship amongst club members and handles the fundraising events for the club budget and Rotary Foundation. Events have included:
- Wine raffle
- Gala
- Softball tournament, chili cook-off and dessert throw-down
- Doggie Care Fair
Membership Committee - Promotes membership needs to the club, interviews potential members, and holds new member orientation:
- Schedules quarterly Fireside events for red-badge members
- Schedules red-badge members to act as greeters. Greeters arrive early enough at meetings to greet other club members as they arrive, giving them their badges and reminding them of the 50/50 drawing.
- Works with the Board of Directors through an Attendance Sub-Committee to get names of members with poor attendance and contact those members personally to get them back to the meetings.
Public Relations Committee - Works with the various event committees to get publicity out to club members and local media:
- Creates weekly newsletter, The Navigator, informing the club about scheduled program and other pertinent information, both in an e-mail format to be sent to each member in advance of the meeting, and as a printed document that is distributed at the club meeting every week.
- Contacts newspapers, radio and television stations with timely news about club activities.
- Maintains and updates the club web site with club related news and information such as current members, board members and committee chairs, photos taken at events, announcements and links to important district events. Distributes and collects information sheets to members to get updated data for the site. Also may serve as club historian.
Sergeant-at-Arms Committee - Helps maintain an orderly and effective Rotary club meeting that will make a good impression on club visitors and guests.
- Handles physical preparations for weekly meetings by arriving early to set up meeting room (club banners, lectern, flags, etc.) May consult with Program Committee chair regarding need for special equipment. Stays after meeting to take down same.
- Raises money for club projects by soliciting "happy bucks" or by applying small fines ($1) to members. May conduct quizzes or interactive exercises/games that promote fellowship and raise money through small fines.
- Organizes the weekly 50/50 drawing for RYLA funds. Makes sure to have two decks of cards available (one for card purchase and one for drawing) and counts/splits the funds raised.
- Appoints a News Sub-Committee whose members, on a rotating basis, collect current news from local radio stations and read it at weekly meetings.
